Left knee pain and swelling following twisting injury

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

The posterior aspect of medial meniscal body and posterior horn are small in size. A fragment is seen within the intercondylar notch inferior to the PCL and give double PC sign. Other findings include complete ACL tear and small baker cyst

Case Discussion

Double PCL sign is highly specific for bucket handle tear of the menisci as the displaced meniscal fragment usually situated in the intercondylar notch results in clinical knee locking and radiological double PCL sign.
