Ankle pain associated with walking and repetitive exercising.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a 1.5 cm enthesophyte at the insertion of Achilles tendon. No acute fractures are identified. The talar dome is intact. The ankle mortise is intact. 

Case Discussion

Enthesophytes are abnormal bony projections at the site of attachment of a tendon or ligament. They represent a common bony response for stress.
