Calcific tendonitis - infraspinatus

- intra-tendinous focal constant hypointensity lesions along with the infraspinatus tendon
- abnormal intrasubstance increased fluid signal and thickening along with supraspinatus tendon critical zone fibers related to tendinosis
- intramuscular ganglion cyst measuring about 10 x 20 mm within the supraspinatus muscle belly
- subacromial / subdeltoid bursa is present
- mild capsular hypertrophy and degenerative changes are seen along with AC joint
- type II acromion
Case Discussion
Calcific deposit in the region of the infraspinatus tendon consistent with calcific tendinitis.
