Cardiac angiosarcoma

Presentation

Previously healthy, experienced fatigue and dyspnea.

Age: 17 years
Gender: Female

Computed tomography of the thorax shows an infiltrative cardiac expansive lesion, centered on the right atrium, invading the superior vena cava. There are also innumerable solid pulmonary nodules, bilateral, suggestive of involvement secondary dissemination.

CT-guided biopsy. 

Case Discussion

After CT-guided biopsy, the anatomopathological examination evidenced the possibility of vascular neoplasia, including epithelioid angiosarcoma. The immunohistochemical report confirms the diagnosis of angiosarcoma.
