Cardiac pacemaker lead displacement

Presentation

Presyncope.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

One of the pacemaker leads has become disconnected from the pulse generator. Defibrillator pads noted. 

One week later

x-ray

Pacemaker pulse generator has been changed with a third pacemaker lead inserted. 

Case Discussion

The permanent pacemaker demonstrated failed to capture on ECG and x-ray confirmed disconnection of one lead from the pulse generator, the cause of which is not known.
