Presentation

Non-traumatic origin of pain on dorsal aspect of wrist - Few wks. On examination - local swelling/bulge/bump. Referred for local ultrasound to diagnose/rule out ganglion.

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Bony protuberance was noted at site of swelling pointed by patient. It was articulating with base of 3rd metacarpus and adjacent proximal carpus.

No ganglion cyst was seen.

Findings suggest carpal boss due to ossicle.
