Presentation

Recurrent episodes of right sided pleuritic chest pain.

Patient Data

Age: Young adult
Gender: Female

A small right sided pneumothorax is present with the lung edge faintly visible. 

12 wk later similar episode

x-ray

Again a small right sided pneumothorax is present.

A pleural based 3 mm nodule in the lateral segment of the right upper lobe (image 115) is noted. 

No endobronchial lesions are visualized.

Case Discussion

Endometriosis is a rare cause of recurrent pneumothoraces but should be considered in the appropriate clinical scenario.
