Presentation

Urinary incontinence.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female

Absence of the sacrum (Sacral agenesis) below the level of L1.

Sagittal MRI and lateral xray shows absence of the sacrum (Sacral agenesis) below the level of L1.

The conus terminates opposite D11-12 level with abnormal truncated appearance.

Case Discussion

Caudal regression syndrome  group 1 is characterized by multiple caudal structural defects. The current study includes agenesis of the sacral vertebrae below the level of S1 associated with truncated conus which terminates at a higher level D11-12.
