The portal vein cannot be identified, with the portal vein bed containing a cluster of serpiginously enhancing vessels extending into the liver.

The portal vein cannot be identified, with the portal vein bed containing a cluster of serpiginous vessels extending into the liver. 

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with cavernous transformation in a patient with previous thrombosis of the portal vein.
