CSF filled cavity between the two lateral ventricles extending from the anterior to the posterior.

Case Discussion

Cavum septum pellucidum (anterior) and cavum vergae (posterior) are midline CSF filled cavities. These do not have any communication with the ventricular system, and usually involute during development but can persist into adulthood.
