There is a large mass in the body of the left lateral ventricle, displacing the septum pellucidum and obstructing the outflow of the ventricles, with resultant obstructive hydrocephalus. The mass is heterogeneous in density.

MRI demonstrates a large mass in the body of the left lateral ventricle, displacing the septum pellucidum and obstructing the outflow of the ventricles, with resultant obstructive hydrocephalus. 

The mass is heterogeneous in density and signal, with patchy enhancement. 

Case Discussion

The mass was excised and pathologically proven to be a central neurocytoma.
