Presentation

Remote history of craniotomy and drainage of brain abscess, now with worsening swelling at the site of craniotomy and neurological deficits.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
ct

Left parietal craniotomy defect with smooth margins. 

Numerous multiloculated rim-enhancing collections in the left parietal lobe, which protrudes though the craniotomy defect. 

Extensive vasogenic edema of the left parietal and temporal lobes. 

Mild rightward midline shift. 

Posterior cervical adenopathy.
