Diffuse sulcal effacement of the brain with diffuse increased white matter hypodensity, suggestive of post-traumatic brain edema.

Bilateral frontal small intra-axial densities, suggestive of cerebral contusions.

Left temporal small extra-axial hematoma. 

Bilateral retained fluid at middle ears with obvious longitudinal fracture of left petrous bone, suggestive of hemotympanum.

Case Discussion

This case shows multiple post-traumatic brain changes, including post-traumatic global cerebral edema, bilateral frontal contusions, extradural hematoma and petrous bone fracture with hemotympanum.
