Anterior oblique radiograph technique.

The radiograph will show the 'same side' neuroforamina.  In this example, a left anterior oblique is being performed, therefore the left neuroforamina will be shown.

The side marker is placed on the side of the patient touching the cassette.

Posterior oblique radiograph technique.

The radiograph will show the 'opposite side' neuroforamina.  In this example, a right posterior oblique is being performed, therefore the left neuroforamina will be shown.

The side marker is placed on the side of the patient touching the cassette.
