Muscle weakness.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female

MRI cervical spine

There is cerebellar tonsils descent through foramen magnum compressing the cervicomedullary junction with resultant whole spinal cord syrinx. No associated hydrocephalic changes.

The tonsillar herniation is estimated to be 7.2 mm below the foramen magnum (Chiari 1 malformation >6 mm).
