Presentation

Epigastric pain.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
ct

Mild dilatation of the intrahepatic ducts and common bile duct (up to 9 mm) due to a calcific focus measuring 7 mm in the distal common bile duct at the level of the pancreatic head. No further gallstones are identified in the gallbladder. Pancreas appears unremarkable, with no peripancreatic fat stranding.

Case Discussion

CT findings are in keeping with extrahepatic calculous biliary obstruction (choledocholithiasis).
