Opacification with soft tissue density of the outer segment of the left external auditory canal with associated bony canal erosion. Intact ear drum. Normal middle and inner ear structures.

Case Discussion

The external auditory canal is an uncommon location for a cholesteatoma 1. Keratosis obturans would be the main differential diagnosis.
