Focal chondral fracture of the medial trochlear facet with underlying subchondral bone marrow edema. The detached fragment appears hyperintense, well-visualized in the medial synovial recess. Normal chondral thickness of the lateral trochlear facet as well as the the patellar facets and femoral condyles. Mild joint effusion.
