Circumaortic left renal vein incidentally discovered on the upper abdominal cuts of CT chest examination.

Circumaortic left renal vein is an anomaly of the left renal vein when a supernumerary or accessory left renal vein passes posterior to the aorta, in addition to the normal renal vein passing anterior to the aorta.

This anomaly is potentially hazardous if unrecognized during retroperitoneal surgery.
