Celiac artery anatomy

Case contributed by Dr Omar Bashir

Case Discussion

Celiac artery divides into LGA (left gastric artery), splenic artery and CHA (common hepatic artery). The CHA gives off the GDA (gastroduodenal artery) and continues as the PHA (proper hepatic artery). The PHA branches into the RHA (right hepatic artery) and the LHA (left hepatic artery).

The images also show the SMA (superior mesenteric artery). The CT scan was performed to evaluate a large AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm).
