A cystic lesion is visible in the roof of the third ventricle. It appears hyperintense on unenhanced T1 and hypointense on T2 weighted sequences suggestive of proteinaceous content. Dilatation of the lateral ventricles due to resultant hydrocephalus is also noted.

Case Discussion

Relatively small colloid cyst of the 3rd ventricle with obstruction of Monro's foramina leading to obstructive hydrocephalus.
