Presentation

Left visual disturbances.

Patient Data

Age: 3 years
Gender: Female

The left globe is small in size with a focal posterior defect at the level of the optic disc, forming a retrobulbar fluid cyst with vitreous herniation within and associated vitreous hemorrhage.

Normal appearance of the circle of Willis on MRA 3D-TOF.

No associated midline or skull base anomalies.

Case Discussion

MRI features of a coloboma with vitreous hemorrhage.

The absence of intracranial vascular malformations, as well as skull base and midline anomalies, may exclude the possibility of morning glory syndrome.
