Presentation
Ultrasound reported hydrocephalus
Patient Data
The lateral ventricles are widely spaced giving a racing car sign on axial images. There is abnormal dilatation of trigones and occipital horns of the lateral ventricles in keeping with colpocephaly. There is also evidence of a high riding third ventricle.
Case Discussion
The features are consistent with corpus callosal dysgenesis. On CT, it is difficult to judge whether there is complete or partial agenesis of the corpus callosum. Therefore, corpus callosal dysgenesis is a better term to use rather than partial or complete agenesis of the corpus callosum.
Dr. Mohammed Tahir Aien has also contributed to this case.
