COVID-19 pneumonia - radiological resolution

Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Shortness of breath and myalgia.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years

3 months prior to presentation

x-ray

Heart size normal.  Lungs clear.

Normal mediastinal contours.

At time of presentation

x-ray

Bilateral mid and lower zone peripheral airspace change.  No lobar consolidation or cavitation.

No pleural effusion.

Heart size normal.

6 weeks later

x-ray

The airspace opacification has resolved.  Both lungs are now clear.

Heart size normal.
