Presentation

Gunshot injury 7 months ago. Well, without significant neurological deficit.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Large bony defect in the right parietal bone.

Encephalomalacic changes in the right frontal lobe with the track of the bullet passing through the right corona radiata, the right centrum semiovale, crossing the midline, the left thalamus, with the bullet centered on the left temporal lobe deep white matter.

Case Discussion

Despite a severe penetrating brain injury, the patient did not sustain a significant neurological deficit.
