Neuroblastoma skull metastasis

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Unwell-looking child, presented with proptosis and headache.

Patient Data

Age: 3.5 years
Gender: Male

Multiple abnormal signal intensity lesions scattered through out the skull bones also involving the sphenoid bone and extraocular intraorbital soft tissues with resulting proptosis.

Diffuse dural enhancement and thickening with some evidence of leptomeningeal enhancement.

Case Discussion

Abdominal ultrasonography revealed a large heterogeneous, solid mass-lesion with specks of calcification involving right supra-renal region which made the features characteristic for cranial metastases from neuroblastoma.
