Craniocervical junction meningioma

Presentation

Limbs weakness

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

​Well defined extra-axial, an extramedullary solid appearing mass lesion in the level of the craniocervical junction on the right side. The lesion is compressing the brain stem and cervical spinal cord with resultant left side displacement.
The lesion returns isointense signals in T1 and T2 weighted images with homogenous contrast enhancement. Diffusion restriction is present in DWI and corresponding ADC maps.

Case Discussion

Well defined homogeneously enhancing mass lesion in the right aspect of the craniocervical junction with resultant mass effect over the brain stem and cervical spinal cord as detailed above. The features are in favor of benign lesions, likely to be a meningioma.
