Presentation

Right-sided abdominal pain

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

IVP

Fluoroscopy

Both kidneys are seen on the right side (fused) with adequate excretion of contrast medium in five minutes.

Right ureter: normal in course and caliber and opens normally in an orthotopic position

Left ureter: short, non-tortuous, normal caliber and crosses to the left side and inserts orthotopically.

ultrasound

Both kidneys are seen on right side (crossed fused ectopia: left kidney has crossed to right side and fused to the lower pole of right kidney).

Both are average in size, with normal echotexture. No stone or hydronephrosis.
