Osteophyte formation, joint space reduction and ossified bodies (changes of degenerative disease) are seen.

- ulnar nerve compression with a proximal edematous hypoechoic nerve segment as well as normal diameter and echo pattern distal to the site of compression
- the cross-sectional area of nerve is 1.2 and 0.7 mm proximal to and at the site of compression
- on the asymptomatic side, the ulnar nerve displays a normal appearance

The cubital tunnel syndrome is a type of ulnar nerve compression neuropathy that occurs from pathological compression of the ulnar nerve at the cubital tunnel.
