Brain CT shows a small volume right tentorial subdural hematoma and on the lower slices there is circumferential epidural hematoma compressing the cord at C1.

Subsequently performed CT of the cervical spine reveals a non-displaced type 2 dens fracture with large associated circumferential epidural haeamtoma compressing the cord at the C1 and C2 level.
