This flow chart represents the pathway from histological diagnosis of a diffuse glioma, down through IDH and 1p19q testing to a final diagnosis.
Note that for probable glioblastomas, there is the added qualifier of age, as IDH mutations are uncommon above 55 year-old and, as such, sequencing is generally not recommended, provided there are no reasons to suspect a high likelihood of a mutation.
