Case Discussion
Hepatic steatosis is a very common condition in patients who undergo medical checkups, easily diagnosed by ultrasound, CT and MRI. It is mainly associated with obesity, resistance to insulin and alcohol abuse.
This entity may have different manifestations in imaging studies, some of which may lead to unnecessary procedures, therefore it is very important that the radiologist is acquainted with these.
In NHCT, the liver parenchymal density must be less than 40 Hounsfield Units , and / or have a density of 10 HU less than the spleen
