Presentation

Pain and swelling at the dorso-radial aspect of the forearm and wrist. Symptoms had started after assembling furniture.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
mri

Massive extensor compartment 2 and 3 tendon sheath effusions distal to their intersection. 

Case Discussion

Distal intersection syndrome. In this case, severe scapho-trapezoid arthritis may have been a co-factor. This is distinct from the more common (proximal) intersection syndrome
