Presentation

Hoarseness of voice, his laryngoscopy revealed left vocal cord paralysis.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Partially thrombosed saccular aneurysm arising from the diverticulum of the ductus arteriosus.

Case Discussion

CT chest was performed to exclude pathology to the left recurrent laryngeal nerve, which revealed aortic saccular aneurysm.

The patient had a history of prior cardiac surgery for congenital heart disease, however precise surgical details weren't available at the time of the exam.
