Cholecystectomy clips.

An endoclip is seen overlying the right upper quadrant.

The endoclip has since passed out of the bowel.

Endoclips have a central opening, unlike the adjoining cholecystectomy clips. It is placed by endoscopy as opposed to laparoscopy.

Case Discussion

These clips are placed endoscopically for bleeding vessels and mucosal lesions within upper and lower GI tract. They usually detach within a few weeks and are passed out.
