Endometriotic deposit of the anterior abdominal wall

Presentation

Palpable tender right lower quadrant mass.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

There is a mixed-to-hypoechoic, heterogeneous, lobulated mass in the subcutaneous tissue of the right lower quadrant. This mass is mobile and is clearly separate from the anterior abdominal wall muscles.  It measures 2.4 cm x 1.2 cm x 1.9 cm and demonstrates some intrinsic blood flow when evaluated with Doppler.  No subcutaneous fluid collection, hematoma or other mass is identified.
