CT shows a mass-like lesion in the left iliac fossa with fat attenuation in relation to the sigmoid colon with surrounding hyperdense rim suggesting inflammatory changes of the adjacent mesenteric fat.
An additional finding of multiple mildly enlarged para-aortic lymph nodes.

Well-defined oval shaped mass-like lesion in the right iliac fossa with fat attenuation and soft tissue density rim with stranding of the adjacent mesenteric fat planes.

Case Discussion

Typical findings of Epiploic appendagitis are well-defined mass-like lesion with fat attenuation related to a segment of the large bowel with inflammatory changes of the adjacent mesenteric fat planes.
