A small ovoid lesion of fatty density with a high-attenuation margin and mild surrounding fat stranding, adjacent to the distal descending colon in the left iliac fossa, representing epiploic appendagitis.
Case Discussion
Epiploic appendagitis is an uncommon self-limiting ischemic/inflammatory process involving appendix epiploica of the colon, causing acute focal abdominal pain.
