Color Doppler image demonstrates a 1.5 cm highly vascular mass consistent with a capillary hemangioma located at the superolateral margin of the right orbit.
Hemangiomas are the most commonly diagnosed soft-tissue tumors in pediatric age group and are usually capillary hemangiomas. Ultrasound may show fat, phleboliths or prominent vascular channels. Arteriovenous malformations can be differentiated from hemangiomas as they usually show high vascularization on Doppler US with higher peak velocity 1.
