A transvaginal ultrasound shows a gestational sac low within the uterine cavity. Gestational sac = 19 mm. CRL = 18 mm. Unfortunately there is no fetal heartbeat in keeping with failed early pregnancy. Both ovaries are normal.
Case Discussion
Early pregnancy failure is very common and the etiology is multifactorial.
