Familial adenomatous polyposis

Diagnosis almost certain

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

There are at least two hypodense lesions in the VII and VIII segments of the liver evident in the venous phase.

No dilatation of the bile duct. Distended gallbladder containing homogeneous isodense without obvious calcifications. The colon is opacified with contrast with innumerable filling defects noted throughout the colon, the largest is in the hepatic flexure. 

Case Discussion

CT findings consistent with familial adenomatous polyposis complicated by colon cancer with metastases to the liver.

Biopsy proven multiple tubular and tubulopapillary adenomas.
