Fall on an out stretched hand while losing balance playing badminton

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Comminuted fracture of base of fifth metacarpal with mild shaft overriding. 

Case Discussion

There is no significant displacement of fracture in this patient, otherwise it would be called a reverse Bennett fracture and would require K wire stabilization. Immobilization and normal healing is expected in this patient.
