Presentation

Injury to thumb with loss of flexion.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Complete rupture of flexor pollicis longus tendon of thumb noted at the base of proximal phalanx with retracted ends and intervening mild PD fat sat hyperintense edema. Proximally retracted tendon is noted close to carpal tunnel.
