Normal appearances and thickness of the Achilles tendon. Rim of fluid is seen abutting the Achilles tendon, with a tiny echogenic focus within, in keeping with foreign body.
Case Discussion
Fluid rim is noted superficial to Achilles tendon. An echogenic focus is seen within the fluid.
The patient proceeded to surgery, which demonstrated similar findings. A tiny wood fragment was removed.
