Foreign body induced tenosynovitis of finger

Presentation

History of thorn injury to finger - 15 days. Complains of swelling + pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Linear echogenic focus (3 mm) is noted abutting flexor tendon near the base of the middle phalanx. It is on the radial aspect. It is within tendon sheath. Synovial sheath thickening with mild fluid is noted in tendon sheath. No tear is noted. No PID or DIP joint effusion is noted.
