Case Discussion
The bifid or forked or bifurcated rib is an asymptomatic congenital skeletal abnormality which has a female preponderance. It can be seen in Gorlin (nevoid basal cell carcinoma) syndrome, truncus arteriosus and tetralogy of Fallot.
