Fall during trekking with swelling in posterior cervical region

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
mri

Fracture of C7 and D1 spinous processes with significant marrow edema and surrouding soft tissue edema. Partial tears are seen in adjacent interspinous ligaments and posterior paraspinal muscles. Edema and hyperintensity seen in posterior paraspinal muscles extending upto C2-3 level (right>left).
