Fractured third and fourth proximal phalanges

Presentation

Fall off bike.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Comminuted transverse off-ended fracture of the 3rd finger proximal phalanx through the mid-shaft. The fracture is displaced in the ulnar and dorsal direction and there is marked dorsal angulation.

Fracture of the base of the 4th finger proximal phalanx which does not appear intra-articular. This fracture is impacted and mildly angulated in the volar direction.
