Presentation

Diabetic presents with headache and nasal blockage

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Complete opacification of the frontal and sphenoid sinuses by hyperdense attenuation contents. Complete opacification of the ethmoid air cells with exception of an agger nasi cell on the right. Partial opacification of the left maxillary antrum and mild circumferential mucosal thickening of the right maxillary antrum. Opacification of the superior nasal cavity.

A sinolith can also be seen in posterior right ethmoid air cells. Associated destruction of bone forming roof of the posterior ethmoid air cells and the floor of the middle cranial fossa with invasion of material into the middle cranial fossa itself.
