Gallbladder cancer with metastatic porta hepatis lymphadenopathy

Presentation

Abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female

A 36 x 24 mm enhanced mass is seen at fundus of gallbladder. A 52 x 47 mm mass with lobulated margin is also present at porta hepatis, accompanied with encasement of CBD and portal vein with a filling defect suspicious for portal vein tumor thrombosis. Intrahepatic bile ducts are dilated .

Fat plane between the porta hepatis mass and head of the pancreas is obliterated but there is no evidence in favor of direct invasion. 

Case Discussion

Gallbladder mass (path proven adenocarcinoma) with metastatic portahepatis lymphadenopathy, tumoral encasement of the CBD and a filling defect suspicious for portal vein tumor thrombosis.
